A review of the energy use within an installation that will determine the opportunities to reduce or optimise the use of energy.
There are three levels of audits in accordance with AS/NZS 3598.
- Energy Management Planning
The development of plans or strategies typically for a five year period and usually based on the results of an energy audit.
An Energy Management Plan will specify the expected achievements and allocate the areas of responsibility within an organisation.
- Energy Account Management
Reviewing energy invoices combined with plant monitoring is one of the primary means to identify and evaluate energy efficiency projects. For some Companies energy is a major cost however they do not have the resources or expertise to assess their accounts.
